The Circolo Culturale Hercoletto was set up in order to discover and value the rich historic and cultural heritage of the village of Porto Ercole deriving from the four fortresses surrounding it, even if only one of them, Stella Fortress, is open today and used for meetings and shows.
The Circolo's aims concern about giving a good support to off-peak season, tourism quality and promotion of the entire territory through a series of activities as hiking itineraries, summer games and dog grooming education courses for children, photographic shows telling the story of the village and its people.
